The international and local influences can be seen throughout the space, from handcrafted tableware by artisans from Puebla and Jalisco in Mexico to straw lamps from a cooperative in the High Atlas in Morocco: every detail tells a story. Even the playful Tchantchèt doll designed by coppersmith Pascal Jacques from Liège and waffle-shaped door handles made in Faridabad (India) bring a whimsical, local flavour to the space. His collaborations with artists and craftsmen from around the world add eclectic touches to the space, making this a truly one-of-a-kind place to work.
Silversquare Guillemins offers a real sense of community, as well as a workspace. The project features upcycled lockers that double up as portable storage units as well as side tables, and seating which provide a range of workspaces, promoting interaction and collaboration. A glass wall, meanwhile, denotes a playful space intended for relaxing and socialising. The space also has a 'Chai Lobby', intended as a cosy and flexible waiting area where train departure times are displayed on screens and snacks are available, thus providing an attractive alternative to the waiting times in the station.
